Genell is an award winning pastelist who loves to paint the world around her. 40 years of painting has diversified her passion and lends to her ability to create beautiful realistic art representative of western culture and wildlife.
Genell Garrett Tuter is a native Oregonian. Living in the Northwest has given her opportunities to experience the Oregon wildlife she has painted for over 40 years. During that time, she has won many awards for her diverse painting mediums. Pastel painting has held her passion for the last twenty years, leading her to serve as a board member of The Pastel Society. Genell loves nature and wildlife of all kinds and tries to portray them as they live each day. She is also fascinated with the western culture of the past and present.
Favorite Quote: “I love to help rancher friends gather their cattle off the range in the mountains every year. When I was younger, the many experiences I had with horses and cows still creates many paintings in my mind.”
